We booked a private room, rather than a dorm, which meant we were transferred across to the Lavender Boutique Hotel (https://www.booking.com/hotel/vn/lavender-old-quarter.en-gb.htm) nearby. Breakfast is simple, but good value for money. The location Couldn't be better - towards the edge of the Old Quarter, surrounded by street food and local shops, 20min walk from the Military History Museum and Imperial Citadel. The staff were friendly and helpful, recommending restaurants and booking booking onward travel for us. The room was clean and well furnished, the bed comfortable and the bathroom and shower everything we needed

Catherine

Organised pick up from the airport, easy check in and they transported us to their sister hotel - Lavender Boutique Hotel for our private room. All the staff were super friendly and helpful and gave us suggestions for things to do. Organised a walking tour for the following day for us. The room was large and beds were comfortable. Breakfast was nice and convenient. Mai was great and organised Ha Long Bay and Ha Giang Loop for us. It was handy that we could store our luggage at the hotel whilst we went on our tours. The location was really good!

Great value for money - room and facilities were good! Staff were so friendly and super helpful - gave tips and recommendation for Hanoi and helped us book our trips to Sapa and Ha Giang (highly recommend booking through the hostel - great value again and made it very easy for us planning wise with all transport, accommodation, meals included). Hostel was very central in Hanoi - we walked everywhere. Breakfast included and free beer for happy hour three days a week - great for socialising and meeting other people travelling.

The Hanoi City Backpackers Hostel was the best stay we had in Vietnam! We were able to get the private room which was very comfortable. The hostel was really helpful in helping us organising our trip. Mai, from the hostel, was allways there asking us how things were and it was so good to have that kindly hand during our trip. She was this superwoman who arrange us the hagiang, sapa and also halong bay cruise. She really helped us a lot and we are so thankfull!! Thank you so much for this wonderfull experience!!
